Good Morning My brother is 4years 6months. He is suffering from fever in day his fever gone and in night got high from last 2days .

A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewfuarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. Adequate fluid intakeg is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

A. Sponging your baby with a fever is a great way to bring down the body temperature and is one of the most effective baby fever remedies. Chamomile Tea is a good remedy for fever. Boil water and soak chamomile tea leaves for a minute. Add honey to it and give your child as many drops as he likes
