Good morning doctor . the BCG dose given to my child is swollen . what to do???#AskTheExpert

A. bcg vaccination which is given at birth in the upper arm will form a swelling by one or maximum two months and then it will burst open and thecn pus will come out from it and after that it will become a scar mark. you have to take medical consultation if it days causing pain fevxer and discomfort to the child. also if the pus discharge is increasing or aggravating again you have to meet the doctor and locally you can apply t bact cream

A. Hi mom Fever swelling and rashes are the common symptoms after vaccination. After taking bcg vaccination, the injected area gets swollen. If ur baby is active and comfortable otherwise, no pain or no pus coming out then no need to worry. It will be fine on its own
