A. It’s good that you consulted a doctor about your son's severe tooth pain. Depending on the diagnosis, the treatment options might include: 1. Dental Examination: The dentist will likely conduct a thorough examination to determine the cause of the pain, such as cavities, infections, or gum issues. 2. Fillings: If cavities are present, the dentist may recommend fillings to restore the tooth and relieve pain. 3. Root Canal Treatment (RCT): If the decay has reached the pulp of the tooth, a root canal may be necessary to remove the infected tissue. 4. Extraction: In severe cases where the tooth cannot be saved, extraction might be recommended. 5. Pain Relief: The dentist may prescribe pain relief medication or recommend over-the-counter options suitable for children. 6. Follow-Up Care: After treatment, it's important to follow up with the dentist for any necessary check-ups and to discuss preventive measures to avoid future issues. Ensure your son follows a gentle oral hygiene routine and avoids sugary foods to help protect his teeth. If you have any specific questions about the treatment or care post-visit, feel free to ask!
