good morning doctor I have a query in my mind can you please guide me ....my son is 2 years 3 months old but he is speaking only few words( eg. papa Jana mumma janna mumm laina nanu Nani etc)...is it a matter of worry

FORUM PATELMom of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. hello.. i think uske paas vocabulary km h and bahot kuch pointing krke bata hoga aur usmein kaam chl jata hoga. to aap ishare na smjhe or dekhe kya wo bolta h agr nhi aap usko word de kya wo aapko copy kr pata h..speech delay might be an issue. ismein bache thode words ya bilkul bhi nhi bolte unki speech therapy hoti h fir dhire dhire one word, two words, 4 word sentences and full sentences pr le aate h bache ko. filhal colours animal, birds, body parts, vegetables and fruits k jumbo flashcards le aaye aur sikhaye.
hope so aapko ye info se kuch idea ayega as in aapka baby can do it or not.

Some kids pick up a little late on a better speed but if your child is speaking certain words an understanding properly the meaning of the word people whom he is addressing also if your child is understand every other thing like a small small instructions following them responding well if your child is doing all of this and there is no problem with the speech but yes you should try to communicate more try to spend more of personal time with the child and do not give any screen time you can introduce flashcards and educational toys to the child and play with them with your
