Q.

Good morning Doctor, I am Asma, My baby is 1 month old now. At the average of 30 to 40 min gap I ll feed her because she start crying for milk. some time continuously 2 hours she ll drink the milk... once she feels full she ll sleep around 4 to 5 hours, rarely she ll get up in between. She is healthy, she ll cry only when she is hungry else she will be playing calmly. My question is! --can I feed her continuously, --maximum how long I should feed a baby whether they feel full or no. --how I should know that I should stop feeding. please suggest. thank you....

A. Hi, Since baby is small, tummy is small, that's why baby gets hungry soon. Feed the baby on demand. Check feeding symptoms like rubbing ears, crying, yawning etc. Don't wake up the baby in sleep for feed. After feeding, baby will feel satisfied. You can use Philips avent natural bottle later and see how much your baby is drinking the milk. It contains ultra soft nipples which support natural latch.
