Q.

Good morning doc, 1)my son would turn 6 months old , what do I feed him 2) in the night he's not awaking coz he just sucks his fingers and falls asleep , I forcibly move his fingers away from his mouth n feed him , am I doing the right thing or should I allow him to fall asleep sucking his fingers

A. there is no need to remove the fingers because it is very common at this stage and you have to just maintain hygiene of the fingers and you can start complementary feeding after 6 months of age In COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING start with two rules Rule number 1 is that you have to give the food in the form which the child can swallow Rule number 2 is that always give a new food for for 5 to 6 days to see whether the child is able to digest that food or not as well as it will help in creating the taste in the child. you can gradually start all types of food made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits. You have to start initially with less amount and gradually you can increase the amount
