A. Ondansetron is a medication used to prevent nausea and vomiting. However, it's essential to use it only under the guidance of a healthcare professional, especially for young children. For a 14-month-old baby, the dosage of Ondansetron (Ondem) can vary based on weight and the specific situation. It is crucial to consult your pediatrician or healthcare provider before administering any medication, including Ondansetron, to determine the correct dosage and ensure it is safe for your child. **In the meantime, here are a few steps you can take:** 1. **Keep your child hydrated**: Offer small sips of oral rehydration solution (ORS) or clear fluids to prevent dehydration. 2. **Monitor symptoms**: Keep an eye on any additional symptoms like fever, diarrhea, or lethargy. 3. **Avoid giving solid food**: Until the vomiting subsides, avoid giving your child solid food. Start with bland, easy-to-digest foods when they are ready to eat again. Please consult your pediatrician or visit the nearest medical facility to get proper guidance on using the medication.
