good afternoon doctor my son is 6 yrs old and he is having cavity in his tooth doctor suggested to remove his tooth but I m worried that in so small age is it right decision to remove his tooth it will not occur any problem in future please help me to take decision

A. Dear parent, please consult your nearest pediatric dentist for opinion and treatment as nowadays root canal treatment of milk teeth is a common treatment procedure which can prevent removal. In case it needs removal then also a dpace maintainer is recommended. A pediatric dentist can decide the treatment afyer taking xrays

See first of all you have to see whether it is a permanent teeth or a temporary one because if it is a temporary one then it is more practical to get it removed before the cavity reaches the root of the child it is going to be better to get it removed because then permanent teeth is going to get hassle and kids have this kind of a tooth removal surgery at the age of two years also three years also which is normal don’t worry
