Gm Doctor, my daughter swastika 4yrs 11 months, doesn't express to talk openly with people when approached, most of the time she keeps mum. she doesn't mingle with new people easily & takes time.

-read different books to the child
-talk to the child daily routine like the child understands you with regular eye contact
-singing songs and rhymes
-while talking repeat what your child says with right pronunciation and do not criticize the child
-avoid screen time(tv mobilze laptop). leave permit the child to watch the activities that allow to improve his language
-take your child outside (open environment) and have a talk with the child regarding the things around the child
-introducze new words gradually for proper understanding
-speak about things child is interested in.

keep envouragimg the baby..
let the baby mingle and get comfortable
