Q.

For the last few months we have seen that Myra is having very difficulties when she is passing the stool & we observed that the stool is very very hard & are like small boulders. Please provide some suggestions, how we can soften her stool.

A. constipation is commonly seen in children in which diet modification needs to be done like including high fibres in the diet for which you can give seasonal fruits like papaya, watermelon and seasonal vegetables will also help you can give Daliya , oatsmeal also to your child which is rich in fibres and nutrients too. giving excess of milk may also cause constipation, so you should limit its quantity.lactulose or polyethyleniree glycol is of good help, sorbilene is also an option but you should give any medicine or suppository only when prescribed by your pediatrician.. medication is the secondary option.diet modification is the key.plenty of liquids are of great help too.
