Q.
for my baby on forehead the temperature is 98.1 but when I check on stomach tbe temp is 99.8F is this normal

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold spongi nhing of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. it is the viral fever. Temperature more tham 99 is fever. Give paracetamol for fever and can be given 3 to 4 times in a day . If temperature does not comes down in 2 days then baby need a proper examination as it may be any other infection
