Q.

For my 3 years old had scarlet fever last week it’s gone after antibiotics prescribed by doctor again today morning he has runny nose and I gave Sinarest AF now he is feeling better but he has temperature of 100.. is something wrong to be worried… this is 3 time he is down with fever in 20 days

A. it may be viral fever. your history tells us that the child is suffering from viral fever and in viral fever you have to give only symptomatic treatment that is for fever have to give paracetamol(max 4 times per day if needed) and plenty of water to drink and at least 60 to 70% of the regular diet and if the fever continues beyond 3 days then meet the doctor please do body sponge that is body wiping to decrease the body temperature with wet cotton cloth.

What is the temperature is hundred degrees Fahrenheit Fahrenheit should give paracetamol to the child and sometimes what happens is due to viral fever it can come like this on and on and off but just to be on the safer side I’m going to advise you to consult your doctor to go for a blood test for better and further clarity on the situation that is there
