Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again regtpeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating.
and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required

Calpol He is one of the finest medicines to go for I think you’re asking about your child only your child is about three months of it so you can give this medicine 0.5 ML at a point of time and second doses can be given after six hours only if the fever rises again and if you want you can also do Thande Paani ki patti
