#Expertadvice Hi Doctor I an 12 weeks pregnant and have to do level 1 scans. my doctor has suggested 2 tests- double marker or NIPt. pls suggest if double marker is sufficient and NIPt can be avoided.. pls help

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 1 Year agoA. NIPT is only to be done if you in case you had any previous history of abnormalities in the baby otherwise this test is not recommended on regular basis only double marker is to be done

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 11 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello it would require a proper medical investigation and it is better to check with your doctor and she will be able to guide u accordingly which should be better and also safe too and absolutely nothung to worry and get the required test done
