Q.

Every child have mild jaundice after 3to 5 days born.... what's the level of billirubin to admit child in NICU... I m blessed with baby boy on 16th April... I don't want to admit it in hospital... for jaundice treatment.... in Covid environment... pls suggest some home remedy and better recovery... and what's the level of bilirubin t to be worried...

A. Hello, your question is related to the neonatal jaundice so for bilirubin levels body weight of baby multiply 5 = bilirubin mg if it exceeds then baby should be kept in NICU

A. hello mum initially this level can be increased to 16 aur 17 but after fluid is it can start decreasing automatically but still the last decision will be of the doctor after the proper checkup of your baby you can take your baby in the sunlight early in the morning this is the best remedy to avoid jaundice
