ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist6 years agoA. no dear it should not be given. it is normal to not pass stool daily but if stool is hard and baby is straining while passing stool then it is constipation. include fibrous food like seasonal vegetables, green leafy vegetables and fruits, carrot cucumber , beetroot, papaya, apple, peach banana, prunes whole fruit is better as compared to fruit juice grated and soaked dry fruits Like black currant , prunes, date , figs, nuts like almond, walnut , whole pulses soft and mashed , beans, sprouts to be included

Ankita MehtaMom of a 10 yr 8 m old girl6 years agoA. hello mam, as your child is 7 months old ,you can try some home made remedies to cure constipation: give fiber rich food like sweet potatoes,fruits like pear,papaya,plum etc.. give massage with different techniques : massage on stomach in clock wise direction with firm hands . Slowly walk your fingertips on lower part of abdomen from one side to other side direction. Draw an oval with your fingertips below your child's belly button . All these massage techniques help to cure stomach problems. Keep your child well hydrated. Give curd to your child,it contains probiotics which help to cure stomach problems.
