ExpertDr. Pandurang sawantPaediatrician7 years agoA. At 14,wks ur baby will have DTP, HiB, Hep. B, and IPV Plus Pneumoccocal vaccine Plus Rotavirus vaccine. In DTP component if u go for whole cell ie DTwP It may cause pain fever and sometime swelling at vaccination site (painful vaccination). In DTP component if u go for accelular ie DTaP It doesn't cause pain fever and swelling at vaccination site(painless vaccination). Both Vaccine ie whole cell or accelular are equally good and effective

Birth - BCG, OPV 0 , Hepatitis B1 6 wks – DTwP1 , IPV1, Hep B2, Hib 1, rotavirus 1 , PCV 1. y10 wks – DTwP 2, IPV 2, Hib2, rotavirus 2, PCV 2 . 14 wks – DTwP 3, IPV 3 , Hib 3, rotavirus 3, PCV 3 6 months – OPV 1, Hep B3. 9 months – OPV2, MMR 1. 9 -12 months- typhoid conjugate vaccine. 12 months- Hep A 1 15 months – MMR 2, PCV booster, varicella 1 16 to 18 months- Hep A2. 2 years – booster of typhoid conjugate vaccine. 4 -6 years – DTwP B2 OPV 3 , varicella 2, MMR 3. 10-12 years- Tdap, HPV. Rotavirus vaccine gives protection against rota virus attack which is a leading cause of diarrhoea and other gastrointestinal disorders. It is administered in 2 to 3 doses depending on brand at interval of 4 to 8 wks. PCV provides protection against 13 types of pneumococcal bacteria that can cause pneumonia, meningitis, sepsis. It’s slightly expensive. Cost depends on brand which doctor has advised.
