Q.
Dr my baby girl is 4.5 months old. she has running nose and sound of ghar ghar three days ago. I have given her saline drop suggested by Dr here only. her running gets better next day. but from today she has started coughing. what should I do? should I visit local doctor?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. they are respiratory secretions which is present in the narrow respiratory tract of the child.
the sound of ghar... ghar.. is present when air passes over these secretions in the narrow respiratory tract.
if the respiratory rate of the child is within normal limits and the child is not having any other complaints do not worry aboute the sound which is present due to respiratory secretions.
if you feel that the child is having some difficulty in breathingd you can always give nasal saline drops in the nasal cavity which will wash away the mucus present in the nasal cavity as well as the respiratory tract.
the problem improve with increasing age of the child when there is broadening of the respiratory tract .
