Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. many times adenoids and tonsils are enlarged due to recurrent viral or bacterial infections as well as in allergic cough and cold. you have to just control recurrent cough and cold due to any of the reasons and the child will not have more than reasonable increase in size of adenoid and tonsils. any surgical intervention is required only if the child is having difficulty in breathing as well as difficulty in swallowing and difficulty in sleeping atx night. many times nebulization as well as inhalation sprays are given to decrease the size and you can follow your doctor in this.x it is advisable to give flu vaccination to the child which will help in decreasing the chances of viral fever as well as viral cough and cold

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 2 m old girl1 Year agoA. It is a very common surgery surgery and after that you will see a proper growth of your child physically also in terms of weight and everything so you can go ahead with that further you can take a second opinion from another doctor in case of any doubt
