Does oil bath causes fever for babies?

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. no Infection causes fever just feed well. wear comfortable clothing. do sponging with water at normal temperature, not too cold. it helps in taking temperature down. do not give medications without prescriptions. consult your doctor in case of persistent fever, poor oral intake, excessively sleepy child.

Jasmine Shiny DsouzaMom of a 7 yr 8 m old boy6 years agoA. hi mom, if you are applying oil for the first time then it may cause cold but once you tried applying daily baby will be habituated. so apply oil daily before the bath half an hour then give bath to the baby. you can try to use coconut oil which is very good to hydrate the skin
