Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bachterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment b

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi no bacterial Infection which causes diaherra can cause it. so please keep your child well hydrated give Luke warm water with pinch of salt. give light food like khichdi, curd rice with roasted jeera powder, upma etc dress your child lightly. if fever remains constant or remains more than 3 days then please visit your pediatrician
