Q.

doctor my baby cries a lot to pass stools she is 45 days old I try giving her gripe water plus colicaid but she still cries badly to pass stools then I help her with helens glycerin as suggested by pediatrician she is on formula milk plus breastfeed since my milk supply is less I give her formula milk and I have inverted nipples so she is unable to latch properly please advice how she will make normal stools

A. thank you doctor for your advise but she really cries continuously if she cannot pass stools for like many hours only when I help her to make stools she calms down also there is yellow balls in her stools please advise if there is anything to worry

A. it is very common because of hard stool baby is fasting There is no need to use any medicines for constipation in babies below the age of 6 months a baby can go without passing stool even after 8 to 10 days also it is common in babies of this age
