Q.

doctor my 1yr 8mnth old baby is talking only one word amma. even she called her father also amma. we tried to encourage her to speak more words like papa, tata. if we tell her to say papa, she will say amma. we had consult child development professional. she told me that baby has no problem. let her own way and wait for her 2 nd birthday. all her milestone are delayed in 2 month interval. we all are worried.

A. if your child is able to understand and follow all the commands given and is able to you hear what you are saying with proper eye contact then do not worry much about the language skills of the child because speech will gradually come. try to avoid TV mobile laptop like screen time and spend more time with the child talking with the child as well as if more people are available to talk with the child and this will also improve the social and language milestones of the child Kindly continue your efforts

A. Hi mommy Encourage baby often to speak Give your time and attention Do lots of fun activities together Maintain hygiene Give your time and tell story it helps baby’s to increase his vocabulary Take a good care of your baby
