Doctor can we give honey to 3.5 year old baby to cure cough?

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. yes you can give honey in cough.. You can also make a paste by mixing small quantity of basil leaves, ginger and honey. Mix well and give 1 tea spoon thrice a day. 👍

But honey alone may be an effective cough suppressant, too. In one study, children ages 1 to 5 with upper respiratory tract infections were given up to 2 teaspoons (10 milliliters) of honey at bedtime.
