ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist8 years agoA. opv is against polio. pneumococcal vaccine is against certain bacteria called strep pneumoniae. it protects against pneumonia , meningitis and sepsis caused by these particular bacteria only. viral infections still can occur.
