Q.

Dear Parents, My child who is 2 years and 10 months old is suffering from severe constipation since last 3 months. Doctor has prescribed 5 ml of Colax syrup daily for 6 months. My concern is that my child's body may get addicted to that syrup. Should I continue it for 6 months or consult another doctor.

A. Hello my dear parent! Increase the liquid and fibre intake of your child. Serve your child with healthy home-made foods in cute Babyhug bowls to encourage healthy eating. If you are concerned with the medication, then please let your doctor know them and seek for their guidance.
