Q.

Dear experts..My kid 3.4 year old have low vit d levels.. It was 9 hence doctor suggested to take vit d sachet 60k weekly once for 3 months and alternative weeks for next 1 month. I was worried can it be taken actually this much high dose like the adults?

A. it all depends up on the level of deficiency but many times it is given weekly for 6 weeks and then monthly so you can go for blood levels after 6 weeks to confirm whether it has to be continued or not
