pls don't use ghee, u can use mustard oil for massage..  I massage my baby with mustard oil putting kalonji,  garlic and jaiphal into pcs, remember to crush the garlic..  after putting all these in oil.. heat the oil make it cool and then u can  do massage

no pls don't use ghee and butter my pediatrician told these are very harmful to baby body because ghee and butter have a capacity to close the pores in baby's body so don't go for that type of things best is oil homemade oil or branded massaging oils

every baby is different. some have no reactions to massage with ghee, some find it relaxing and skin becomes better.. see after apllying oncr you will feel the difference or else try alternate days of ghee and coconut oil massage...

ghee hed massage i hav heard. never tried.
I will advise u to always follow a policy - peace at any cost. making mother in law happy doesnt take much effort but it comes in handy in the long run, especially if u guys live under the same roof. do th massage in daytime, followed by milk feed, bath after an hour.

i too had been told to do desi ghee gum massage. baby has no significant relief. rather unnecessary pressure on gums can change teeth direction. just give cold teethers

Are you saying massaging her gums with ghee. If she's having for the first time its gonna be difficult for her but once one teeth comes they get used to it. 
my boy is having his seventh teeth but I haven't done anything no medications. I only give him cold teethers, cold fruits such as mangoes apples carrots etc.
And just make sure whatever she is putting in her mouth is clean.
