Q.
Can we give rum or brandy as medicine to 1.2 years baby in cold and cough?? Is this safe??

meghali BorahMom of a 8 yr 10 m old boy6 years agoA. No it us unsafe avoid it completely. You can give steam to your baby. In case of small baby give indirect steam to clear the passages. Sit with your baby in a closed bathroom with the hot shower on and this will help in clearing the nasal passages. Also you can use nasal aspirator to take out the mucus. put nasal drops into the nostrils and take out the mucus using the aspirator. Also you can heat mustard oil with few garlic cloves and rub it on the chest. This will help in healing the cold. Roast ajwain and make a potli and keep it near your baby while sleeping. This will too help in curing cold and cough
