can we give paracetamol drops to 6 weeks old baby???

Qazi Naveed FaizFather of a 4 yr 9 m old child4 years agoA. Post vaccine fever and site pain are normal side effects and are required to be addressed as per their severity. Try to give 0.15 ml (3 drops) of paracetamol to your 6 weeks old baby receiving his/her first vaccine shots. Moniter body temperature and behavior. If your baby still got fever and is restless, then give them another dose (0.3 ml or 6 drops) of paracetamol after 6 hours of first dose. Repeat your observations. If the baby seems relaxed now and the effect lasts consistently through 6 hours, repeat the same dose after 6 hours. If otherwise, increase the dose to 0.5 ml. Do not go any higher than this dose.

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children5 years agoA. paracetamol drops is one of the safe medicines which you can give to your baby if baby is having fever since baby is 6 weeks probably it may be vaccination fever you can give the dropd t the baby

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 9 m old boy5 years agoA. You can give your baby infant paracetamol from two months as long as they were born after 37 weeks and weigh more than 4kg (9lb). You can give your baby infant ibuprofen if they are three months or older, and weigh at least 5kg (11lb). Paracetamol and ibuprofen provide basic relief from fever and pain.
