Can we give head bath during cold and cough ? what is the best home remedy ?

Hello...it's best not to give head bath when child as too much cold....you can put nasal drops either prepared at home or nasoclear to clear blockages and thin mucous you can try any of these home remedies: 1-use coconut oil with pachkarpur apply over chest ,back and slightly over nose for cold. or you can use nasoclear or home made saline drops. or mustard oil heated with ginger applied to back ,nose,and over chest..

Frequent cold and cough in babies is normal as their immunity system is still developing... so you should consult the pediatrician regarding the medicines... also you should include the immunity boosting items in the food... also you can give him ajwain and garlic sek on the chest and keep the Ajwain potli near the pillow of the baby when he sleeps... give him indirect steam... You can use humidifier in the room... also massage his chest, back, palms and legs with mustard oil roasted with garlic... You can also put a few drops of eucalyptus oil on the baby's clothes or pillow, it's fumes will give relief from the congestion.... Also you can apply mustard oil... Just heat the mustard oil with garlic cloves in it till the garlic gives aroma.. then let it cool down.. and apply it when it is Luke warm. .. check the temperature before applying... Massage with the oil on the palm and legs, foot of the baby... Use pillow... Keep her in slightly upright position.... You can give him pedia nasal drop with the consultantion of the pediatrician... Maintain hygiene and cleaningness around the baby... Also the baby vomit very frequently during the cold and cough as like we adults they cannot spit out the phulgum, so they Vomit it out... So vomiting during cough and cold is also common... So don't worry if he is doing so much vomiting... Actually it helps a lot to clear up... Give him plenty of rest... Keep him hydrated... You can Give turmeric milk, honey with ginger juice , lemon juice with honey, Ginger water, tulsi water frequently in the day... Also give him some healthy fluids like soups , ragi, rasam,turmeric milk, coconut water, etc.. as the baby don't like to eat solid while having illness . Avoid cold aggravated food like Banana, curd etc... . Use nasal drops before sleeping and feeding...

One spoon honey before bed will ease to your child for good night sleep Give chicken soup .., warm water Gargling with salt water it help to soothe a sore throat. It also helps clear mucus from the throat. Use steam tumbler ( electric steam or nebulizer. ) which is easily available at any cosmetic shop then add vicks vaporub or eucaliptus oil in water and start it during night. Or in day also can use ... other than that to reducing cough is shek of ajwain potli... two time in a day at least.. Avoid food in cooling properties.. give only warm food.. boiled water as it help to decrease cough easily..
