Q.
Can we give Cyclopam for loose motion ? Does this helps in anyway ? My son has got loose motion for almost a day.. It's watery and whatever he drinks or eat, he gets motion immediately. He s also given probiotics, Enterogermina vials, Zinc soln, Orflox etc. Please suggest if any other home medication can be given to stop loose stools.

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist5 years agoA. cyclopam helps in relieving spasm pain if you have introduced any new food, skip it for time being. maintain good hydration.
curd, buttermilk help in maintaining good intestinal bacteria.
keep a close watch on urine color, hydration, maintain good oral intake.
if child appears drowsy, blood in stools or not feeding well then consult your paediatrician.
maintain good hygiene while feeding your baby.

Author of questionGuardian of 2 children5 years agoA. Thank you. Ma'am. How long does this take normally to stop loose stools ? I'm worried as he is having watery loose motion after any intake. Even if he drinks ors within few minutes he gets watery loose stools. It's almost been a day and no much improvement. Can we give tender coconut water to 1 year old baby. does this helps ? how long does this take to stop normally ?
