A. I’m formula feeding my 2 month old baby boy. Feeding him 120ml per session. Baby sometimes cries after feeding sometimes goes to sleep after feeding session immediately. My doubt is whether I’m feeding enough?

A. Yes, for a 2-month-old baby, demand feeding is generally recommended because it helps ensure your baby gets enough nutrition and supports healthy growth. However, if your baby sleeps more than 3.5 hours at a stretch, especially during the day or night, it’s important to gently wake them for feeding at least every 3 to 4 hours to avoid dehydration and low blood sugar. Some babies naturally start sleeping longer stretches as they grow, but in the first few months, regular feeding is crucial. Always follow your baby’s hunger cues but also check with your pediatrician if your baby is consistently sleeping too long without feeding.
