Q.
can prunes cause allergy in babies? if so in how hours or days will it take to show? because I've been giving prunes to my baby for 3 days and today he told rashes on his stomach and back. also today my mother in law gave him and applied coconut milk with cardomam on his body for the first time. now I'm confused. and today is the 3rd day he is eating prunes.

Dr Javed HussainFather of 2 children5 years agoA. Talk to your baby's pediatrician before giving any juice. Keep in mind that prune juice and plum allergies do occur in a small percentage of people. Sorbitol can also cause bloating and gas check for any dust take Allegra syrup

NikithaMom of a 11 yr 4 m old boy5 years agoA. hello the allergy can be due to either of them and since prunes was given from three days the allergy may not be due to it and it is better to check with your doctor and he will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better and safe
