Can i use promethazine syrup i. P. For my 1 month old baby. Doctor gave it to me for my baby crying a lot

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 6 yr 5 m old girl5 years agoA. it will induce sleep and not recommended for baby to give for sleep . baby may be crying due to different sleep cycle and colic pain this will go by age and no medocine nshould be given

Hello ma’am This medicine is mostly given for vomiting or nausea so if your child is having that issue then you can most certainly give it if your doctor has prescribed to you but if your child is not crying because of these things then it would definitely be colic pain so in that case I would advise you to start giving Himalaya Bonnie spaz 0.5 ML or five drops 3 to 4 times in a day maximum as and when needed.
