Q.
can I no some home remedies for cold? I give him hot water steam. can I use vicks baby rub or add it to hot water and give steam? my baby is 3 months old

avoid cold climate, cold winds.
give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby.
indirect steam , hot water bath will also help.
consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases.
post illness babies might be cranky , irritable.
nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position.
feed by spoon otherwise.
Maintain hygiene.
if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections.

s madaanMom of a 9 yr 8 m old girl6 years agoA. giving steam indirectly and also trying to massage with A Pinch of rock salt added to mustard oil on chest back and neck of the baby applying turmeric paste on nose and forehead and also following doctors advice on the same is important
