Can I give zyrtec for one month to my baby daily? He is almost 3 year old...his pediatrician suggested to give everyyear for 1 month on Diwali time...

ExpertDr Priyashree Mukherjee ChakrabortyPaediatrician10 months agoA. Hello dear, if I’m not wrong, the medication that you have mentioned is meant for allergy. Giving anti allergic medications for no good reason or if the child has not got any symptoms is not a good idea. I would advise you to give these medications only if your child has symptoms like cold or any allergies, otherwise, if your child is doing well, no need for any extra medications.

It is advisable to get the baby evaluated by a doctor and follow doctors advise properly. You can also book online doctor’s appointment on FirstCry where the doctor can help you and guide you properly
