Home made papad etc.patience is very important too.To increase weight you must add high energy foods like eggs paneer , soya , ghee in rice , khichdi etc.this will boost him ok.

but as you are introducing it all first time,it is better to offer them one by one so you may check whether your child is allergic to particular one or not.
