Q.

Can I give pacifier to my 3 month old. He cries a lot before sleeping. He wants nipple in his mouth to sleep even if he is not hungry. If pacifier is not recommended then what should I do? I have been doing rocking to sleep but when I put him on bed he wakes up.

A. Family Physicians recommend weaning children from pacifiers in the second six months of life to prevent otitis media. Pacifier use should not be actively discouraged and may be especially beneficial in the first six months of life.

A. Pacifiers are not recommended to be given to the child there a very healthy substitute that parents gave but it’s not healthy for the child also in the second place I would like to tell you that maybe your child is crying due to stomach pain so give a medicine for that and see if that helps
