better to avoid giving such things
it can do no good
please make your child understand this by telling stories or explain harmful effects on body.
but don't make it too scary.
make him understand that occasionally it is ok to take such things.
set rules for this ,for example , if a child is insisting too much , buy it and give it once in a week.
