Q.

can I give mefanimic oral suspension to my baby as she's suffering from fever and iam giving her p100 drops but within 6 hrs fever is coming again

A. Thanks a lot for your response my baby is 10 months and weighs 8.3kgs doc advised to give 1.4ml of p100 drops.. can you please recommend me the dosage of mefanimic acid to her as she's 8.3kgs

A. yes can give in between 6hrs whenever fever is not improving with paracetamol you will have to see if the dosage of the medicine is given according to the weight of the child or not and if the power of the paracetamol is proper. also if the medicine is older than one month after opening then better to buy a new bottle. you have to give paracetamol and also do body sponge and keep the child in cotton clothes. after 2 hours of paracetamol if the fever is is not improving then you can go for higher medicines like ibugesic or meftal p. paracetamol can be given maximum four times per day.
