Q.

Can I give deworm medicine to my 17 months old baby? If yes, then which & how?

A. She has loosen weight, lost her appetite & even not sleeping properly. Sometimes she cries a lot & when I apply heeng (asafoetida ) on her naval she stops crying after a while. Even she has become so cranky that doesn’t want to wear pants too.

A. kindly give syrup albendazole 5 ml to the child at night (first dose) and 5 ml after 14 days and if the problem still continues meet your doctor and get a stool examination which will help in diagnosis. very important to maintain hygiene of the food and water as well as the the hygiene of the hands and everything which goes inside the mouth of thex child otherwise the worms problem will occur again and again. it is usually uncommon for small children less than 2years to have wormsx problem
