Q.

can i give alkof junior syrup containing dextromethorphan,chlorpheramine and phenylnephrine combination to 2 year boy having running nose and cold instead of another brand which prescribed by doctor?

A. hi your baby is 2 years old now dextromethorphan is used for dry cough and not be used in young babies.try maxtra or relent cold syrup 3.5 ml twice a day for 5 days

A. Hello ma’am If your doctor has already prescribed you medication So I would advise you to go for the same is but if everything that is there in the medicine that has been prescribed by a doctor is present in the same one but does the brand is different then you can go for it but I don’t think so it really makes much of a difference
