Q.

Can I give a mixture of breast milk and formula to my 1 month old daughter?? Say, I have hand expressed 30 ml breast milk, but i want to give her 60 ml feed, so can i mix 30 ml formula in it? As my daughter takes feed in a single shot, after feed she refuses to take another feed for atleast 2-3 hours.

A. It's completely fine and perfectly safe to do. Many families choose this type of combination feeding method, whether out of necessity (e.g. low breast milk supply), convenience, or simply personal choice. In some cases, breastfeeding and providing formula may be recommended by a doctor for medical reasons.
