can I feed papaya puree to my baby when she is suffering from cold and cough???

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. yes papaya can be given avoid cold climate, cold winds. give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby. indirect steam , hot water bath will also help. consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases. post illness babies might be cranky , irritable. nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position. feed by spoon otherwise. Maintain hygiene. if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections.

meghali BorahMom of a 8 yr 10 m old boy6 years agoA. Yes you can give don't worry. You can also give soups and stews to the baby during cold and cough ,it helps in curing. Also, avoid banana curd etc during cold. give steam it will help curing faster
