A. yes ofcourse you can have sweets even if you are a feeding mother. if your baby has coldIn case of cough and cold first of all check the route cause if the baby gets cold or cough repeatedly and try to eliminate that. Consult your doctor immediately if the child is having problem in breathing. Use humidifiers to give steam to the baby. Continue breast feeding. You can put saline drops into the nose 2-3 times a day. You can even use rubber bulb to clean the mucus from nose. Give plenty of warm liquid as the child loose appetite if she is not well. You can give soups warm kheer custard warm water etc. Add garlic to their soup (if the baby is above six months). Massage the throat with desi ghee. Give tulsi infused water to the baby. Apply baby vicks vapor on chest back and feet and cover the baby properly. Keep the baby in elevated position. Heat mustard oil with garlic and again in it. Massage your baby when the oil becomes warm and cover the baby properly. Add Jaggery to baby food or add pinch of haldi to the milk. Mix ginger juice and tulsi juice in honey and give a pinch of it daily till the baby is cured. Massage the area below the fingernails and above the knuckles of the forefinger. Place both the fingers on either sides of the nostril and massage these points gently for 10-20sec after every 2-3hours. Consult pediatrician if the child is not cured within 2-3 days.
