can I drink green tea n honey,warm water lemon mixture. If yes how should I take??

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. Hello yes you can Since you are a breastfeeding mom, your calorie requirement is more. So its not advisable to cut down on your diet. Just avoid having deep fried, too much sweet and junk foods. Drink plenty of water and fresh fruit juices as they help in detoxification of body. Drink green tea with lemon and honey twice a day. Make sure to add honey only in lukewarm state not hot!! Do breathing exercises and light walking. Once you complete 6 months post delivery, you can do yogasanas along with pranayams and brisk walking kapalbhati and bhujanang asan

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr 7 m old girl7 years agoA. Hot water with honey lemon is fine.. Avoid green tea.. If your breastfeeding you should avoid having chocolate, spices, citrus fruits, Avoid fishes in high mercury content, avoid tea coffee, eggs, wheat, cauliflower, cabbage, proceeded foods, mangoes, prunes, corn, Broccoli.. All these are gassy foods to baby. If you still wish to have have in limited quantities and have warm water post that. Also Waking is a good way to shed some weight. 20 mins of walk can help you alot. Try to do yoga like suryanamaskar, pranayma these are highly beneficial. Also follow good diet. For breakfast have fruits. Oats, ragi, kellogs for lunch have millets instead of rice. Or Have less rice and more veggies. For dinner have roti, fruits. Mainly try to Avoid white foods like white rice white bread maida.. Have a balanced and healthy diet.
