Can i apply coconut oil on my stitches??

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist5 years agoA. Hello dear parent! No! Don’t apply coconut oil Or anything for that matter over the stitches. These oils form a source of infection and will inturn cause opening of the wound. Apply betadine if you want.

A. himommy, yes you can. coconut oil. is. one. of the best tonic for any kind. of skin. make sure you do not rub that area too much. gently apply the oil atleast twice a day. it helps. healing, bring stretchability to skin and also helps fade away stretch marks.
