because of dengue high fever baby got seizures and unconcious after some hours she was fine my quetion is is she will get seizures in future also and how many frisium 5mg tablet should i give her in case of fever

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy teo decrrease fever. Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and it is better to evaluate once your baby with child doctor in person as it is very difficult to say anything about it without personally examine and proper reports evaluation. Take care
