A. more you feed your baby, more is the stimulation and more is the breast milk production. also relaxed mind , love for the baby, confidence while feeding help in oxytocin release and hence augment milk production. first month is always tough so keep patience. check the latching technique, burp inbetween feeds, also take comfortable position for feeding. check latching technique. it should not hurt. it should just feel like tugging. gently put little finger from baby corner of the mouth, unlatch , then latch again. sore nipples are common initially, apply breast milk on them and air dry, gradually it will recover. still if feeding doesn't establish properly, consult your paediatrician.
